According to ESPN, the Italian giants will not sell Under in January. Instead, the Turkish international’s representatives are preparing a summer transfer away from Serie A.
ESPN also claims that Roma will not negotiate their asking price and has set a price tag of over €50 million on the youngster’s head.
The Milliyet Sports Award for Debut Athlete of the Year nominee has made a name for himself while playing as a right winger for Italian side A.S. Roma. The Turkish starlet has already netted 6 goals this season and also has 8 assists to his name in 23 games.

Cengiz, who is under contract with Roma till 2022 is one of the lowest paid of the first team. The 21-year-old earns about €1 million per season.
Over the past couple of years, Marcus Rashford have all been used as make-shift right-wingers. None of them, however, are naturally suited for that position and each has struggled to showcase his potential consistently while playing on the right flank.
Cengiz Under can finally prove to be the answer to Manchester United’s prayers. The ex-Istanbul Basaksehir player is not only a natural right-winger but also a player with tremendous potential. His pace makes him a nightmare for defenders and his ability to pick a creates abundant chances for his forwards.
Under’s ability to use both his feet sets him apart from the rest. Cengiz Under, who is the youngest Turkish player ever to score in the Champions League, can become an investment whose return United can reap for years to come. Still only 21, Cengiz has a lot of scope for improvement.
His transfer to the Red Devils, however, will depend heavily on who Manchester United decide to appoint as the permanent manager.
